Abstract

The new phase of the Ukrainian crisis, which began in February 2022 and has had a significant impact on the dynamics of transatlantic relations, has attracted particular attention from think tanks not only in the United States and Europe, but also in Turkey, which is also part of the transatlantic community. The article provides a historiographical analysis of the assessments of Turkish researchers who examine the impact of the Ukrainian conflict on relations within NATO and the EU and analyze the political and military aspects of the Ukrainian crisis after 2022 in relation to the foreign policy actions taken by the Republic of Turkey in the international arena. Turkish experts pay particular attention to the challenges facing NATO in connection with the Ukrainian conflict and the problems related to Europe's strategic autonomy, as well as the potential role that Türkiye can play in the current situation. The study is based on the materials of one of the leading Turkish think tanks SETA, which has a serious influence on the formation of current foreign policy of Turkey, and actively interacts with its government agencies.
