The article covers the role and place of armed conflicts as the threat in the sphere of international security. In this regard the scientific paper researches the factor of international structures particpation in the armed conflicts as the reason of strengthening of instability at the land, regional and global levels. The article explores the approaches of key Western states towards armed conflicts in the Middle East and Africa.
