The article analyzes the military component of France's foreign policy under President E. Macron in the Sahel-Saharan region (SSR). The transformation of approaches to military operations in the SSR under E. Macron is shown. The effectiveness of the participants in the conflict is assessed. A new model of cooperation between France and its allies, an inter-Saharan military partnership, the G5 Sahel Joint Force FC-G5 S, is considered and analyzed. Interim results of the conflict are summarized.
